Chemo’s not so bad…

Aspen here, thought I’d post an update on how the Brodster’s doing. Well, apparently he did great!! I say apparently because SOMEONE was left at home yesterday morning while big B and Pops went on a road trip to VCG (Veterinary Cancer Group to the acronym adverse) for Brodie’s first treatment of Carboplatin.

The Brodster did give me the 411 though, and it seems like a walk in the park. He got to VCG, did some sniffing around, found a few good smells (grrrrrr…. why was left home again?!), saw the doc, had to lay still for some pictures (I think he means x-rays), got poked with something, and then he was free to go. He even got to sniff around again (grrrrr….).

Once big B and Pops got back home, he seemed like his old self again (well, his new old self, you know, ’cause he is missing a leg and all)! Pops was definitely pleased because me and B were rassling over a toy, and he even took some photos of us. I’ll see if I can get Mr. Lazy Bones to post some photos later today.

Anyway, so far so good I guess. Although I bet I would have done just as well. Now where did I put my tail…

  1. I get to go to VCG too (but in San Diego)! I used to love to go for my chemo. Everybody would give me lots of loving and lots of treats. I would go with a big smile and a waggy tail.

Bummer for you Aspen that you didn’t get to go along! (I foresee Monkeydog symptoms about to start appearing…)

Kisses to both you and Brody – but mostly Brody…
